1. كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ

   No! But you love the immediate

   75:20

2. وَتَذَرُونَ الْآخِرَةَ

   And leave the Hereafter.

   75:21

3. وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاضِرَةٌ

   (Some) faces, that Day, will be radiant,

   75:22

4. إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ

   Looking at their Lord.

   75:23

5. وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَاسِرَةٌ

   And (some) faces, that Day, will be contorted,

   75:24

6. تَظُنُّ أَنْ يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ

   Expecting that there will be done to them (something) backbreaking.

   75:25

7. كَلَّا إِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِيَ

   No! When the soul has reached the collar bones

   75:26

8. وَقِيلَ مَنْ ۜ رَاقٍ

   And it is said, "Who will cure (him)?"

   75:27

9. وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ الْفِرَاقُ

   And the dying one is certain that it is the (time of) separation

   75:28

10. وَالْتَفَّتِ السَّاقُ بِالسَّاقِ

    And the leg is wound about the leg,

    75:29

11. إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمَسَاقُ

    To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession.

    75:30

12. فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ

    And the disbeliever had not believed, nor had he prayed.

    75:31

13. وَلَٰكِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ

    But (instead), he denied and turned away.

    75:32

14. ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ يَتَمَطَّىٰ

    And then he went to his people, swaggering (in pride).

    75:33

15. أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ

    Woe to you, and woe!

    75:34

16. ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ

    Then woe to you, and woe!

    75:35

17. أَيَحْسَبُ الْإِنْسَانُ أَنْ يُتْرَكَ سُدًى

    Does man think that he will be left neglected?

    75:36

18. أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِنْ مَنِيٍّ يُمْنَىٰ

    Had he not been a sperm from semen emitted?

    75:37

19. ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ

    Then he was a clinging clot, and (Allah) created (his form) and proportioned (him)

    75:38

20. فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنْثَىٰ

    And made of him two mates, the male and the female.

    75:39

21. أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَادِرٍ عَلَىٰ أَنْ يُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتَىٰ

    Is not that (Creator) Able to give life to the dead?

    75:40

22. هَلْ أَتَىٰ عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ حِينٌ مِنَ الدَّهْرِ لَمْ يَكُنْ شَيْئًا مَذْكُورًا

    Has there (not) come upon man a period of time when he was not a thing (even) mentioned?

    76:1

23. إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍ نَبْتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا

    Indeed, We created man from a sperm-drop mixture that We may try him; and We made him hearing and seeing.

    76:2

24. إِنَّا هَدَيْنَاهُ السَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا

    Indeed, We guided him to the way, be he grateful or be he ungrateful.

    76:3

25. إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ سَلَاسِلَ وَأَغْلَالًا وَسَعِيرًا

    Indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains and shackles and a blaze.

    76:4

26. إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ يَشْرَبُونَ مِنْ كَأْسٍ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا

    Indeed, the righteous will drink from a cup (of wine) whose mixture is of Kafur,

    76:5
