수라 70 Al-Ma'arij (The Ascending Stairways)

1. وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الْخَيْرُ مَنُوعًا

   And when good touches him, withholding (of it),

   70:21

2. إِلَّا الْمُصَلِّينَ

   Except the observers of prayer -

   70:22

3. الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ دَائِمُونَ

   Those who are constant in their prayer

   70:23

4. وَالَّذِينَ فِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ مَعْلُومٌ

   And those within whose wealth is a known right

   70:24

5. لِلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ

   For the petitioner and the deprived -

   70:25

6. وَالَّذِينَ يُصَدِّقُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ

   And those who believe in the Day of Recompense

   70:26

7. وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ مِنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّهِمْ مُشْفِقُونَ

   And those who are fearful of the punishment of their Lord -

   70:27

8. إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّهِمْ غَيْرُ مَأْمُونٍ

   Indeed, the punishment of their Lord is not that from which one is safe -

   70:28

9. وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُونَ

   And those who guard their private parts

   70:29

10. إِلَّا عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ

    Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed -

    70:30

11. فَمَنِ ابْتَغَىٰ وَرَاءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَ

    But whoever seeks beyond that, then they are the transgressors -

    70:31

12. وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُونَ

    And those who are to their trusts and promises attentive

    70:32

13. وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ بِشَهَادَاتِهِمْ قَائِمُونَ

    And those who are in their testimonies upright

    70:33

14. وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ

    And those who (carefully) maintain their prayer:

    70:34

15. أُولَٰئِكَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ مُكْرَمُونَ

    They will be in gardens, honored.

    70:35

16. فَمَالِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا قِبَلَكَ مُهْطِعِينَ

    So what is (the matter) with those who disbelieve, hastening (from) before you, (O Muhammad),

    70:36

17. عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ عِزِينَ

    (To sit) on (your) right and (your) left in separate groups?

    70:37

18. أَيَطْمَعُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ أَنْ يُدْخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيمٍ

    Does every person among them aspire to enter a garden of pleasure?

    70:38

19. كَلَّا ۖ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُمْ مِمَّا يَعْلَمُونَ

    No! Indeed, We have created them from that which they know.

    70:39

20. فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِرَبِّ الْمَشَارِقِ وَالْمَغَارِبِ إِنَّا لَقَادِرُونَ

    So I swear by the Lord of (all) risings and settings that indeed We are able

    70:40
