수라 15 Al-Hijr, 아야 80 – 84

1. وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ أَصْحَابُ الْحِجْرِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ

   And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers.

   15:80

2. وَآتَيْنَاهُمْ آيَاتِنَا فَكَانُوا عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ

   And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away.

   15:81

3. وَكَانُوا يَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا آمِنِينَ

   And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure.

   15:82

4. فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُصْبِحِينَ

   But the shriek seized them at early morning.

   15:83

5. فَمَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ

   So nothing availed them (from) what they used to earn.

   15:84
